Bluetooth Classic Option Disappears

I am trying to sync my Blaze to the treadmill at my local gym to monitor heartrate to auto change intensity.  I have found that the only why the treatmill sees the Blaze is in classic mode.  However as I also use a bluetooth headset to listen to music on my iPhone it seems as though as soon as the Blaze detects my phone the Classic mode shuts off and the option disappears.  Is there a way to force the Classic mode to stay on without disconnecting from my phone or turning the phone bluetooth completely off?

The only thing Blaze Classic will do is control music, and the Blaze LE can only connect to your Fitbit Account.

Now if the gym equipment can be connected to an account, then it might be possible to connect this account up to fitbit.
