I like my new Blaze, but I don't use it for Notifications. I don't want to use it for Notifications. I'm used to the older models of FitBit devices which only connected via Bluetooth to the phone when it needed to sync. My Blaze wants to be constantly connected even though it shouldn't be doing anything since I have Notifications disabled. Is this a error? I don't want the Blaze to be connected constantly if it doesn't need to be so that I don't waste power for Bluetooth for the 99% of the day that I'm not syncing. Is there a way to get it to disconnect from Bluetooth except when it needs to sync?

Do you have always connected turned off?
Have you disabled notifacations?
I find i need thr notificatuon on to have the connected GPS to work. I csn turn the different notifications off separately.
I know the app has a live setting that acts like a remote display for the tracker, is this what your refferring to?
For me it is only when I'm on a walk with the connected GPS when my Blaze wants to connect.

I do not know of a "always connected" option to turn off. The "All-Day Sync" option is disabled.
I have all notifications turned off.
As I've said, I do not want any notifications to the Blaze, so I have them all turned off. With them all turned off I would expect there to not be any need to stay bluetooth connected to my phone constantly.
No, I'm not using any "live connection".
I've resorted to forcibly turning bluetooth off on my phone most of the time to keep the 2 from being constantly connected. I don't like having to do that because I use bluetooth on my phone regularly for a headset and with my car. I just turn my phones bluetooth on when I know I need to use it to sync and then turn it off again. That's not the preferrerd solution to this problem, it should disconnect automatically after I leave the Fitbit app following a sync. (That's what the other devices have always done in the past, they would bluetooth connect when I start the app to sync, and upon exiting the Fitbit app on my phone the bluetooth would disconnect. I could leave bluetooth enabled on my phone and there wouldn't be a constant connection with the wearable device.)

On the Android app, at the bottom of the Charge 2 settings there is an option for allways connected. I don't know your phone type so i don't know if this pertains.
Im trrying to figure out in what way you notice that the Blaze wants to be constantly connected.
Of course with Amdroid you can sllways tell the Phones Bluetooth to forget the tracker. It is only needed for notifications and connected GPS.
Note, I'm at a loss to understand why a request for help with a phone, never includes at least the phones Operating system.

Your reply finally gave me the right idea. During the original adding of the Blaze to the Fitbit app it paired the Blaze to my phone. (iPhone) I could always see the Bluetooth icon showed it was actively connected and in settings see that the iPhone said it was connected to the Blaze. It occurred to me to go in and "forget" the Blaze in the iPhone Bluetooth. Now it works as expected, it only connects the bluetooth when I start the Fitbit app to sync and disconnects after I exit the Fitbit app.
Thanks
