Brand-new Blaze

Bought my new Blaze earlier today.  Unpacking it, I put it in the charger for at least four hours.  I have no display, other than backlight.  No logos, no characters, nothing.  Tried restarting many multiples of times.  The display will go off, than blink a number of times (dimmer than "normal"), then back to the usual level, but nothing displays.  My Blaze has never vibrated.  I have never seen lights of any kind on the back.  Downloaded the Android app and registered.  Trying to Setup, turning bluetooth off and on a number of times for a number of tries, the app asks if my Blaze is on, as it is not detecting it.  I've done online searches to try finding a solution.  So far, I'm rather disappointed that out-of-the-box, my new device does not work.

UPDATE:

 

Took my Blaze back to the retailer for replacement.  My replacement worked immediately, out-of-the-box.  Connected to app, had a successful update, all seems fine.  The charging cradle, however, is of poor design.  I have to wedge a bit of paper between my Blaze and the cover as I close it, in order for it to charge.  For a relatively high-priced device, I'm beginning to have second thoughts because of quality issues.

I'm also sorry that your first tracker didn't work properly but the good thing is that you got the replacement to work without a problem! 🙂
