Brand new blaze not charging.

I just received my new Blaze and after charging several hours it still says no battery. I can't get it past the setup screen to tell if its charging. I've tried reset and unpairing from my android phone. I've never had so many problems with a new electronic. This is my first fitbit product so I hope I'm just missing something.

You have an Android phone and a Blaze that still has the setup screen, this tells me the app has not set it up yet, and out has never been paired to the Phone.

At what step does it fail?

  1. Does the App find the Blaze
  2. Does the code appear on the Blaze
  3. Does the App ask for the code
  4. Does the App accept the code you put on
  5. Do you get a message to update the Blaze?

With answers top these we can pin down the problem

I had this same issue when I got mine.  I found that you have to  go through the setup on your phone first before it will charge.  If the Blaze still displays the "fitbit.com/setup" message on its screen then it is not synced to your phone and will not charge.  Remove the Blaze from the Fitbit app on your phone and go through the setup syncing process again.  You will know it is finished when the Blaze displays a clock face, then you can charge it.

I am having the same problem.  My blaze will not update it says the battery is too low.  I have it plugged in but I do not think it is charging.  It has been several hours.

My Brand New Fitbit Blaze will not setup or charge.

I downloaded the app onto my Sony Experia Z1 phone. (It is a compatible device).

Entered the code, and the phone discovered the Blaze.

It then asked me to carry out an update, but this does not happen. (I get a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it), on the fitbit screen.

I have replaced the blaze from my Fitbit app, and started the app up again. Still no success!!

All I'm left with is a brand new Fitbit Blaze and all it does is come up with fitbit.com/setup on the screen.

Mine did take the code -  battery just won't charge can't do the update??? I don't get the battery screen in charger just the fitbit.com/setup screen and my apps show no progress with charge?

I went through set up on phone app and computer app  but it will not finish sync because battery is to low asked me to charge it and it wont charge?...

just kept trying and trying.

both devices the phone and the fit bit blaze must be almost touching each other during the whole set up process. Any farther and the set up does not happen!!

I did everything suggested on the forums and I set it touching my phone,
dozens of times called support did everything again with them and they
decided something was faulty... Just will not charge...

Yeah, I've realised that initially you do not see it charging as the battery icon does not show. However keep the fitbit in the charger case and keep it connected to your laptop or PC. It's only after you go through the steps, and update the fitbit, will you see the battery icon which shows how much it has charged.
Also....once you have downloaded the fitbit app onto your mobile phone or PC, and if you have managed to go through the initial set up steps, and entered the security code etc, and paired up your fitbit, the app will show you the amount of charge on your fitbit.
The important 'bit' about the initial set-up of your 'fitbit' is to carry out the update. Once that happens the rest should follow.

To add to @Jscar use your wall charger and if you feel a vibration your tracker is charging.

I had gone through the steps this reply does not at all relate to my
situation...Nice try! Glad I got through to phone support today I have a
faulty product....

I got fitbit blaze from my boyfriend for Xmas and was having problems charging it. Followed nocturnx advice and it worked 🤣🤣🤣

Please help.  During the setup finally got the code to show after I reset the device.  Held left button and bottom right together then went through, it connected, asked for the code but then said the battery is too low to complete the update.  I then put it in the charger and and the fitbit.com/setup is the only thing showing.  Not sure if it is charging or not.  VERY FRUSTRATED!!
