Brand new blaze - unable to setup

Had a fitbit charge hr, it died with a pop upon plugging into charger after a few months.

Bought a fitbit blaze, it says goto fitbit.com/setup which says goto app store

  • Updated my old iOS fitbit app and launched it - it was still looking for charge hr.
  • deleted charge HR device.
  • Now nothing happens with the app, just shows stats on the app, and the blaze just shows the screen that says goto fitbit.com/setup.
  • Killed the app repeatedly, still nothing.

Can't see the device under bluetooth pairing.

Stuck, please help.

You don't need to setup a new account @Karamatic

I think @bbooker confusion may be answered with this thread in the iOS board. It explains that the acount icon is missing, a tap on the top left corner where it should be will be fine.

Of course the tracker can not be setup through the Bluetooth menu

I just got the blaze and had the same problem. I deleted the app and then reinstalled and set up a new account with the new device. It worked.

The "invisible" button solution worked. Thanks so much for helping.

@Fitbit How does that make it past QA?  😮
