Brand new blaze won't work outside charger

I received a brand new blaze today, charged it and synced it successfully to my phone (whilst charging).  When I remove it from the charger it is blank and the buttons etc., don't respond at all. I have seen people having similar problems on here so I tried restarting it but nothing happens, there is no response to the buttons.  I know I should send it back but remember the hassle when I had to send a charge hr back in the past.  Any ideas?

Hi @Jmaguire! If you already performed the following steps below, I think it would be better to contact support team. 

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your Fitbit Blaze still doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.
