Brand new out of the box won't work?

I have a brand new (today) FitBit Blaze. I have followed the instructions to the letter. It is charged up (or at least says it is). It has been connected to the app. Once I take it off of the power, however, it shuts off and won't turn on or reset. I have tried re-pairing it. It is running the most current OS version. Please advise as to what to do next. This is not acceptable for a brand-new, out of the box device.

It's great to welcome you @kevinmcarroll and thanks for troubleshooting this issue by yourself.

 

I would like to know if you were able to paired your tracker? If you still having inconveniences, please confirm you are doing the following to restart it:

 

  1. Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

 

And then do the following from your Fitbit app to set it up:

 

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.
