How accurate are the calories burned on the fitbit? I sit at a computer all day and don't snack much. I just eat at my regular times and count my calories of what I eat. Some how the calories burned always say more that what I ate but I had very little activity during the day and eat low calorie foods. How can I have burned between 800-1000+ calories a day if when you're working out in a gym on a machine it takes forever to burn 100 calories? How accurate is this?

You burn calories just breathing. You burn calories at night while asleep. If you take your tracker off your wrist during the night, the app will still show an amount of calories.
So although you are sitting at your desk, the tracker will keep adding calories.
for example, at night i may burn 1 calorie per mn. if i walk at 3mph, i may burn 3 calories per mn and if i am on the elliptical doing hiit, i may burn 10 calories per mn.
so if you were sleeping all day, i would burn 60 x 24 calories 1440 calories
