Calorie Burn after update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I have had my Blaze for about 3 months now, the first few days were rough with the calorie burn while I worked out. I finally got the right exercises set to use and I was back on track with what my Polar watch would tell me. Now after this last update I seem to be back to the way it was on day one.

Yesterday's workout said I burned over 400 calories on the elliptical in under 20 minutes. I stopped the watch and reset before my weights session and it said I burned almost 700 calories doing 40 minutes of weights. Before the update I would burn maybe 500 in an hour (20 minutes on the elliptical and 40 minutes weight lifting with a 10 minute cool down on the stationary bike). I was using the weights exercise on the watch.

Does anyone have any tips on settings that I need to change so that I can get an accuarte reading again? It's really frustrating and I don't want to go back to my Polar considering what I paid for this watch, but I find it really unrealistic to go from one number one week to a number 2 to 3 times higher after the update.

Thank you!

Welcome to the Community @starsnheaven03Your BMR usually accounts for at least half of the calories you burn in a day and is estimated based on the physical data you entered when you set up your account: gender, age, height, and weight.

The calorie burn estimate that Fitbit provides takes into account your BMR, the activity recorded by your tracker, and any activities you log manually. I recommend checking the Things you can do to make the Blaze more accurate post, where our friend @bcalvanese is providing good tips to improve the information that your tracker registers.
