Hi, @Russian1902, without knowing your age, height and gender I couldn't say for sure, but that doesn't sound at all unreasonable to me. Many people don't realize that for average levels of activity, the majority of calories they burn are simply keeping their bodily functions running -- heart beat, lungs expanding and contracting, brain working, digestion running, etc. You will burn these calories even if you were in a coma!

You can check this yourself by googling a BMR calculator. You will need to fill in age, gender, height, weight. I think it is very likely that if you have correctly filled in your profile information for your Fitbit account that the information you are seeing is correct.

I never thought about that we burn so much just by sleeping! 😛 I'm male, 185 cm and 91 kg. I was in shock this morning but maybe it's correct 🙂
Using this calculator with your data:
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmr-calculator
at 20 years of age, its 1971 calories per day, or 82 per hour.
at 50 years of age, its 1821 calories per day, or 76 calories per hour.
and at 35 for your age, I get 1896 calories per day, or 79 calories per hour.
Lets use 35 years of age.
At that rate, it takes 8 hours and 51 minutes of sleep to burn 700 calories.
At that rate, it takes 10 hours and 8 minutes of sleep to burn 800 calories.
