I've been using my Blaze for about 2 years now, and in the last few months, I've noticed something strange happening with the calories burned. For example, I went for a run this morning, and when I got home checked the calories burned. I'd stopped running about 30-40 minutes earlier. The calories burned for the day showed over 2400. I looked again an hour later and it had dropped to just over 2200. Why would it decrease like that? Is it that inaccurate during a run that it takes nearly two hours to calculate an accurate amount?

Hi there @ChrisL_TX. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with the calories on your dashboard showing decreased throughout the day, that sounds pretty strange...
I'm not sure what could be causing this, but I'd just like to make sure that you're looking at the calories burned tile and not at the in vs out tile in the case you have a food plan. If it is a food plan that you have, you will see more or less calories as your deficit through the day. This means that you need to log your food to compensate for your activity for the tile to tell you if you're on target or above or under target for your calorie deficit to achieve a weight goal or to maintain your weight.
If this is not the case, I'd recommend giving your tracker a restart. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot. Also, please, try to log out of the Fitbit app and log back in and then see how your calories behave.
Hope this helps and please, let me know how it goes!

Hi @FerdinandFitbit, thank you for the response. I don't currently have a food plan set up, other than to maintain my weight. The weird thing is that it's actually on the tracker itself where I see the calorie burned changes taking place. Afterward, the app updates as well so that they match, but the change definitely occurs on the tracker.
I did reboot the tracker a few days ago, but will try again. In the meantime, do you know of any other potential causes? I've noticed that it tends to happen after longer runs of 90-120 minutes and not so much after shorter ones.

Thanks for getting back @ChrisL_TX!
Thanks for all the detail on this and that's very interesting, the fact that longer or shorter runs will have any effect on this, however, I don't see a connection with this that could indicate where the problem relies.
I would think that there's discrepancies between your tracker and your dashboard, so if restarting it doesn't make a difference, you could try setting up your tracker as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and hopefully calories will match now.
Let me know how it goes!
