Can I have two trackers in the same account?

I have issues with my Blaze not tracking my steps correctly. I recently had it replaced and still have the same issues. I ended up purchasing a new Zip being I had no issues with steps recording accordingly. I enjoy the additional features of the Blaze, but don't want to lose steps. Can I use both at the same time on the same account?

My concern is if I use separate accounts I won't be able to get notifications, etc. Otherwise, I've considered upgrading to the Versa, but don't want to spend money to run into issues with my steps not counting correctly on that one as well.

Fitbit does support having multiple fitbits connected to an account (as long as they are different types of fitbit) so you can have both a Blaze and Zip connected. However, it's not recommended that you wear both at the same time. It will try to reconcile the tracking data rather than just doubling up but I found that it can give some strange results. Here's fitbit's advice: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1715/

I wonder if your tracking problems with the Blaze were down to the differences you get with a wrist-worn tracker. The Zip (and One) seem to give a more consistent and accurate step count as they don't have to interpret movement of your wrist and decide whether it was a step or just random arm movement. This is not a precise science and fitbit sometimes gets it wrong, sometimes counting too many steps, sometimes too few. Fitbit's comments on this is at: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1136/

If this is the issue you had with the Blaze then it will probably still be an issue were you to get a versa. Personally I find that although the wrist-worn trackers aren't as accurate as the clip-on models, they are accurate enough. I focus more on trends than precise numbers and find that incorrect steps counted / lost even out when looked at over a day. If you don't think you could accept this then perhaps the versa is not for you.

Sadly, if you want the more recent fitbit features such as notifications you will need to have a wrist-worn tracker.

Thank you for your response. The issue is my Blaze was working just fine for the last year and all the sudden my steps weren't accurate. I take the same walk everyday to work and it used to track about 1,400 steps and all of a sudden now it was tracking 900 steps. Although I know I'm still getting the same amount of exercise, the steps are a concern for me due to receiving discounts on my insurance for work based on the number of steps I get. I knew that there would be a difference in steps from the zip to the Blaze due to needing to swing my arms, but for the most part all the walks that I take I do swing my arms.  I ended up splurging on purchasing the versa yesterday, and now my steps seem to be back to normal. However, it is very frustrating that I don't feel like I can sell my Blaze to make up the cost for the Versa, because the steps don't seem to be accurate.

Thanks for the update @Marie1985 and it's great to hear that you purchased a Fitbit Versa. Regarding your Blaze accuracy, I recommend restarting the tracker and do the following:

1. Put your tracker on your wrist.
2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.
3. Pause, then check your tracker to see your step count.

If your Fitbit counted less than 100 steps or more than 100, let me know.

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy
