Can someone please confirm the following regarding Fitbit Blaze:

  • If you are using Stair Master, will Fitbit Blaze count stairs climbed? I was told that because there is no change in altitude using Stair Master (which is how Fitbit determines you are climbing stairs) that Stairs climbed will not be counted. Some Fitbit users told me that their Fitbit does count stairs climbed which is odd. Why would it be tracked for some and not others?
  • If Fitbit Blaze does count stairs climbed on Stair Master, would it count stairs climbed as steps walked? Again, In my experience it has never tracked anything. I do hold onto side rails when I use it because I am at very high level (162 steps per minute). If I do not hang onto side rails when using (i.e. moving arms) will it count steps? I notice that when I just move my arms (even when sitting) my Fitbit count as steps.
  • If you are using Treadmill, will Fitbit Blaze count steps walked/run? I was told that if you hang onto side rails, it will NOT count steps because you are not actually moving forward on a treadmill. Unless you move your arms, it will track nothing. This has been my experience, but one Fitbit user told me she hangs onto rails when using Fitbit Blaze and it counts her steps. Perhaps I have a faulty Fitbit??

If it does its not accurate

If its counting her steps its not accurate. It will not count well while holding on the anything it needs to see the arms swinging
