Due to syncing issues, i.e not being able to sync my Blaze for 2 weeks, and trying every method on here to fix it, I have resorted to telling my Fitbit app to forget my device in order to reconnect it. However it won't. I have told Bluetooth to forget my device and started from scratch, but it still won't connect. I get as far as entering the 4 numbers that pop up on the Blaze, but then it just tries to connect for ages and gets no further! Please help.

Was one of the things you tried a restart of the Blaze using the following procedure?
If so, how many times did you try it? It's known to not always work and it's recommended to try it at least 3 times.

Tried it at least 10 times, if not more.

Telling your phones BT to forget is a good start.
Telling Fitbit that you dont want to use the tracker your having communication problems will only add problems.
For the app to know which tracker to sync, the tracker needs to be connected to your account .
Once we fix the sync issue, you should be able to set it up again .
Since your asking about a phone problem, may we also have the phone make. model your having problem with?
BTW you do not connect the Blaze to your phone. You connect the Blaze to your Fitbit account. This is why it is importamtinot to remove the Blaze from the account.
Once the Blaze is connected to the account, the app, if it needs to, will pair the Blaze to the phone.
Have you looked at the help docs?

I've already told the app to forget my device, and now it won't reconnect. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy J3.

I know, that is why we still need to fix the no sync issue, once this is fixed, we will be able to setup the tracker. Removing the tracker from the app only removes the tracker from your Fitbit account. It has no other purpose and will not fix a sync problem.
Now on android. in addition to what is in the troubleshooting doc.
Remove from phones bt
Update Fitbit app
Update phone os, if needed
Kill the Fitbit app, not just swipe of screen .
Clear the fitbits apps cache.
Swipe unneeded apps out of memory.
Restart phone to clean up memory.
Restart tracker.
Make sure that any other device the tracker has been attached to is either off or at least 50 feet away. BT5.0 is rated for 150 feet.
Now try to setup.

Sorry for the delay in answering. I've now tried all your suggestions several times and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app from my phone, still with no joy. Just get as far as putting the four numbers in and it just says connecting but never does. Don't know what else to try.
