Can't delete message in app

Hello everyone. I hope someone can help me with this annoyance.

I have an 83 day old message in the app from a fitbit friend that I cannot delete.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, logging out and back in to the app.

The message is not visible on the fitbit web login. It is also preventing other messages from coming in. I am forced to use the fitbit web site to send/receive messages from other users.

...and the solution is - 

Delete Fitbit friend and add the person again.

The 82 day old message is gone and I can again receive messages.
