Can't get the device to sync or reset after disuse

I have tried pretty much everything, except for device reset (because it doesn't work - when I hold down left and bottom right button it brings up the notifications, not the logo.)

I have turned the bluetooth on and off.
I have tried removing the device.
I have cleared fitbit app cache.
Reinstalled the app.

Logged on and off.

Restarted my phone (Android, OxygenOS 3.6.1)

I haven't used the device for a long time (I hadn't turned it on for over a year.. I still don't think that I should have to bin the thing just because of that.. :()

Android version 6.0.1.

 

Also, when I unpair and then try to pair the device again, the first time it says the PIN is wrong when it absolutely certainly is not. It's done it several times now as well.
