Can't open my text msg on my blaze

I'm having trouble opening my text msg from my blaze! I have a note 8 and I have it where you can't see what the text says on my home screen from my phone . I have to open it for me to read it. Do I have to unblock the msg for me to read it on my blaze?

When enabling text messages my android app asks if I want just headers or to include the body. You might try disabling text messages and then enabling. You might get that configuration question.
