I just purchase a new Blaze and cannot get it to show the battery icon and it is not charging when I have it in the USB port and in the charge case positioned correctly, any steps I'm missing?

Why do you say that it is not charging?
Dod you feel a vibration when plugging it in?
If by usb port your refferring to the computer, then make sure the computer doesn't go to sleep.
The vibration will be your only clue of the tracker charging.

I would like to know if you keep having inconveniences setting up your Blaze? Are you seeing the fitbit.com/setup message? If you are, you need to paired the tracker in order to see the battery icon at the moment of charging it. To paired your device, I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there.
