Can you lock the screen?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got my Blaze yesterday and I've noticed that when my coat is over my wrist it flicks through all the screens. Today it started buzzing because it had flicked through to exercise tracking and was on pause waiting for me to start running.

The ability to lock and unlock with the buttons would be great...is there any provision for this, or to adjust the screen sensitivity?

You might want to try turning off Quick View.   This would make it so that you have to push a button for the screen to be activated.

Thanks for the suggestion - I did actually already turn Quick View off when I noticed it happening and it had no impact.

@greylantern A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you so much for the details that you've mentioned. When having the quick view turn on, the screen is going to be on when you move your wrist and if your coat is over it, it may think that it's your finger trying to see the display.

That's a great idea and it's already posted in the Feature Request board, you may want to vote for it because those suggestions are viewed directly by our engineers and developers and the best of this is that people can vote for them.

I agree with you...we should be able to fix the screen during a workout. I like to view my heart rate when working out and its really irritating not to have it showing constantly.  Even if it runs the battery down quicker I would cope with that.  Many people train to specific heart rate targets and need to see it constantly. Please add this function FitBit!

Not even just to see the screen but so that there is a saftey that locks it while in workout mode. I do kickboxing three days a week and lift three other. When I box even though it has a kickboxing exercise my glove rubs on it and pauses and ends my exercise log.

I'm having the same problem. I've accidently pressed the screen or side button and it paused the workout and I've lost the data.

It would be simple enough to just be able to press the left button to put the Blaze to sleep. All you'd need to do is press the left button then touch the screen over the pause button to pause then end the workout.

That would solve the problem with accidently turning the Blaze off mid workout but it doesn't address the issue of getting 'Real time' information. I'm used to just glancing at my Polar watch to see my heart rate during my workout and it so annoying that you can't do that with the blaze..

I too have the issue of my Blaze turning itself off with every single boxing session I do. My boxing glove or pad rubs against the buttons and turns it off and I lose data. Very very very annoying when you out in so much effort in the session and having nothing to show for it ! Really disappointing. There must be a way to stop this happening.

I am disappointed as well that you can't lock the screen, as a nurse, I needed the watch feature and have to use the stop watch constantly to take other people's heart rate....it goes off after 5 seconds... So because my other hand is busy... I have to tap my watch with my chin.... Not easy... Any ideas on this?

@Donnnacic I think that is a slightly different issue but I found a feature request that might be what you are looking for. If you'd like to add your vote you can find it here:
