My Fitbit blaze was stolen from a co worker. Management unfortunately screwed up and gave it to her thinking it belonged to her despite my efforts for it's return. (Communication was unfortunatly lacked in this situation and apparently she had one that she once lost) She accepted it knowing it wasn't hers but not knowing my attempts to retrieve it. (She tried it) Me being honest and initially thinking its a possible coincidence, I told her to bring it back and if it didn't sync I would assume it really was hers. Long story short, in an desperate attempt to be sneaky and to cover her own back she bought a whole new one thinking that I would believe it was the one she supposedly owned since January. (Mind you I've owned mine since February and I can tell the difference between a brand new Fitbit and a used one) I believe her purpose was for me to return it thinking it actually did belong to her and she'd return it from the store getting her money back and keeping my Fitbit and her job. (I guess she figured that stealing from work and getting caught can result in a lost job) idk what she did with my Fitbit (and I will honestly keep you all updated cause this story is still developing) but I just wanted to know is it easy for someone to take a Fitbit and sync it to their phone to keep, on top of having a completely brand new one, that's synced to someone else's?? I have no desire to keep the cover up Fitbit. But if I'm stuck with this one am I able to sync it to my phone and if so, how?
I know now this is super lengthy but cmon it's juicy 😩😂. But in all honesty I need your help!

It is possible for someone to find (or steal) a fitbit and add it to their fitbit account. This would be treated as a new fitbit install. Any data on it would be deleted and if it was already linked to a fitbit account then it would be removed from that account and reassigned to the new account.
Although it's possible to have more than one fitbit linked to an account they have to be different models so having two Blazes would not work.
It is possible to have multiple fitbit accounts but each would have to use a different email address.

A warm welcome to the Community @Natalianbeauty1 and @SteveH thanks for stopping by.
To answer your inquiry, yes, a person can sync a stolen Fitbit, nobody will have access to your information, friends, etc. But if you are wondering how a person can sync a stolen tracker, that's simple, since that person just needs to have a Fitbit account and paired the device.
I hope that everything works for you and hope you get your tracker back.
See you around.

Thank you Steve and Alexandra for your answers to my questions. They were really helpful.
Update: Due to the events that I mentioned before I have to delete this post because the incident is now under investigation. Although I am still Fitbit-less at the moment, I have been reassured that things will get figured out and people are working to get to the bottom of this unfortunate situation. I just really wanted to Thank you guys!

@Natalianbeauty1, to rephrase one point @SteveH stated, if the tracker is still showin on your Fitbit account, your coworker has not set it up to their account.
If the tracker still is charged it should still sync to your account.
