I have asked this twice, but no answer . . I bought 2 Blaze units and they both fail to count ordinary 9 foot residential floors consistently. Everyone says the altimeter is calibrated for about 10 feet, but almost all residential floors are 9 feet.
This a problem with Blaze . . all prior Fitbits counted floors as exptected going back to the original Flex, I have had each generation.
It definetly seams to be a calibration problem because you can make it count the floors correctly if you sit on the basement floor for 15 seconds before you climb the stairs. This adds a couple of feet to the elevation change.
I have received comments about extenuating conditions that can effect floor count, like extermely high altitudes, wet arm with tight band, windy conditions . . I don't have any of these problems.
So, can your developers recalibrate the Blaze altimeter in a firmware update ?

I guess the answer is that they can recalibrate but I'm not sure they would want to as there would be undesirable implications. For example, people walking up multiple flights may find that their floor count rises without obvious reason.
I don't think you'll get a response from fitbit in these forums as they are mainly for us users but you could raise a feature request for this here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/idb-p/features
The more votes it gets the more likely it is to influence the product developers.
