@SunsetRunner  I do not know the answers to those questions.  I know FitBit will say even though some phones are not on the list, some features will work - probably varies on the phone, etc.

Do you possibly have a tablet or pc you can use in the meantime?

I rather foolishly I just expected stuff to “work”, silly me.

I buy a car, turn the key, it starts, but a fitbit that is supposed to connect to stuff , it does not.

thanks anyway

This product does not work with my phone

How do I get a refund ?

@SunsetRunner if you bought it from Fitbit directly, you have 45 days to contact them for a refund.

If you got it locally, you'll need to get with the seller.

@SunsetRunner your Fitbit does work, but you just happen to have a phone which doesn't work with the device. If you have a computer, you can pair it to that and it should work fine.

Many people using a Fitbit do not have a mobile device and others prefer to only use their computer to view their stats.

So, where did you buy this? Most retail stores give two weeks to a month to return the item.

I'm finding companies selling the J5, with a Fitbit thrown in.. My feeling is if the Fitbit did not sync why would do this.

Have you tried any of the troubleshooting tips listed in the main thread?

As for the tracker it probably works fine, it might be a different story with the phone.

As for compatablity, phones don't get added until they are thoroughly tested. This does not mean it won't work, with many phones using simaler hardware.

As for android with many models and manufaturers, now add that there are close 6+ versions of Android, let's then add custom BT drivers.. Now let's look. now iOS, one manufacturer, for both software and hardware and only a few versions of the OS. Yes Android can be fun to program for.

Lady's and gents,

I am proud to announce the answer that many users of very popular new model Samsung J5 are waiting for....

Despite some people discouraged me and tell me that Samsung J5 does not appear on devices' compatible list of fitbit I decided to acquire one Fitbit blaze and today is my 1st day with it and IT DID WORKED FINE and i CONFIRM IT IS COMPATIBLE with the FITBIT BLAZE!

YES! I can confirm that works fine every function, including MAP WITH GPS...STEPS... Whatsapp msgs... etc etc... DON't be afraid, despite no appearing on FITBIT device's list it works fine!! I CONFIRM!

So, people with Samsung J5,  YOU CAN BUY AND enjoy your FITBIT Blaze!!

(TO Fitibit Inc.... this personal research and risky action by myself ,answers to many questions in this community and I think it deserves a very special prize for me!!! hahhaha... With a fitbit Alta for my wife I would be happy :))

Regards for everyone and ENJOY!!

Welcome to the Community @SunsetRunner, @nunopisco it's great to see you around and thank you for the information. @Kmransom123@Odyssey13 and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by and the tips provided. Woman Very Happy As mentioned, J5 is not a compatible phone, our team is hard working is testing the compatibility of several phones. I recommend keeping an eye on our list of compatible mobile devices for any update. Keep in mind that you can always sync your phone with a computer or compatible phone. Also, I want you to remember that even if your tracker is working properly with your J5 there might be some features that won't work since it is not 100% compatible.

Catch you later. Woman Happy
