Cant set up Blaze

Hi. I just unboxed my Blaze and my iPhone is too old (4) for app set up. I followed all instructions online for computer set up, but I am stuck on "plug in dongle"!

First question is WHY would it ask to insert dongle, when Blazes do not come with one?

and more importantly, HOW CAN I SET UP MY NEW BLAZE???

You will either need to get a new phone or use a PC or Mac. Your phone does not have the necessary hardware to sync.

As to the dongle question, it is likely left over from instructions for other trackers. You can use the charging cradle and plug it in a USB port on your computer to sync. Older trackers would only sync via the dongle. Just make sure that you download the necessary Fitbit Connect software for your machine.

Thanks.

I am using a Mac.

I tried setting up on a different computer (also a Mac) and instead of asking for a dongle, it asked to turn on bluetooth (which was on from the start).

I am stuck on the same step, but instead of "plug in dongle" window , "turn on bluetooth to sync your tracker"...

I am plugged in with the craddle. But still, I cant set it up. Nothing happens.

As for the Fitbit Connect software, I have downloaded and I am using the latested available version from Fitbit website.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Same issue as FabPhysio above. Just unboxed my new Blaze and am using the latest version of Fitbit Connect on my Mac Pro running OS X 10.11.4.  Bluetooth is turned on, and I also have the tracker in the charging cradle and connected via USB (though my first few attempts were with it on my wrist). I can only get as far as choosing the device to set up and am told, "Turn on Bluetooth to sync your trackers."  I've rebooted, turned Bluetooth on/off repeatedly, etc. and no luck. This thing looks slick as can be, but it's useless if I can't get beyond the screen with the setup URL. Wondering if anyone actually tested this software before it was released....

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @FabPhysio@brossow and @sharyn If you already troubleshooted as instructed here I would suggest to try to set up your Blaze using a compatible mobile device. Also please get in touch with customer support so they can assist you with a Dongle. @SunsetRunner thanks for your amazing cooperation.
