Change my Name on my Profile

Hello,

how do I change my name on my profile? I have tried everything and cannot figure this out. Every time I log in, It says "Rocky" and that is a nickname that I used to go by and would like it gone. How do I get rid of this? Please help!

@l_porter2009  Have you tried going to https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit?  There is a name field there you can edit, but not sure if this is what you were referring to.

Maybe that will help~

@l_porter2009 you have to profiles, which one ate you referring to. Your Fitbit.com profile or your comunity.fitbit.com profile.

Also if you are referring to the Nickname on the profile. Sadly this was removed and can not be changed

I got this from Support after showing screenshots of the unchangable nickname.

"As we further investigated, we could see that it is a bug and our engineers are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible."

 Why is it so hard to have that option? thespicymermaid.com doesn't even exist anymore!! 😫

I dont understand  what the spicymermaid.com has to do with the name change problem. Did fitbit own the spicymermaud domain?

Why would it take a while to fix?

You bring it to Fitbits attention, they fill a bug report out, the developers at some point read the bug report, again confirm a problem, now hace to find the source of the problrm, work on a fix, then tedt the fix. Finally the fix can be put into the web site.

The "thespicymermaid.com" was the name I typed in AS MY NAME. Instead of just Isabel. Now there is no way on this green earth to change it. It shows up in certain places in the community and on my challenges in the app. Annoying but not the end of the world.

It sounds like they've had many reports about this exact issue so now we're all just waiting for bugs to be squashed.
