This is from the product manual.....I think 1-1.5 is usually right for the only time mine got really low.

Mine has never died completely, but from the time I get the low battery notification to fully charged is usually under 2 hrs.

The time has more to do wroth what the power supply can put out. My lap top barely puts out more than what the Surge uses and it takes about 4 hours, plug it into the car charger and it is full in less than an hour.
For the Blaze 30 minutes was more than wnough in the car.

I have my blaze hooked up to my usb power diagnostics machine here and at full current charging it seems to pull between .13-19 amps from a full 5 amp DC power supply, Electronics in general only pull what they need not the max output of a charging block.
Usb from computer is about .5 amp max output, tested with blaze pulls .13-19 amps
Usb from a normal iPhone block or generic is 1.0 amp max output, tested with blaze pulls .13-19 amps
Usb from a tablet block is usualy 2.1 amp max output, tested with blaze pulls .13-19 amps
I will run the device dead next time and check the actual capacity of the battery itself and see what is is.
It doesnt look like from any of my testing that useing a high amperage block has any effect on the speed of the charge.

Hello @Da-illman and @BoomZooka welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here 🙂 The battery of the Blaze can reach a full charge in up to 2 hours. When I charge mine (using my computer) it usually takes about an hour and a half. @Rich_Laue, @Kmransom123 and @racertempo thanks for your cooperation. @BoomZooka keep me posted about the results.
Happy stepping!

Mine has died a few times and I usually get a full charge in an hour to an hour and a half. With my Ultra I used to recieve emails/push notifications when my battery was getting low, but haven't gotten them with my Blaze.

Hello @Hersch it's great to have you here! If you are syncing constanlty, when the battery level is low you should receive a notification on your mobile device or email. Make sure you have selected the low battery notification as indicated on the next image:
If you do and you are not getting the notifications I would suggest to turn then off, click on the save button and then turn them on again.
Let me know if this helps. 🙂

Hello @Yoy are you still experiencing issues with your Blaze? If you are I would suggest to restart your tracker and the screen should turn on.
Keep me posted! 🙂

Thanks, I just bought one and it had no charge and I could not do the set up because of it. I thought I was doing something wrong because it was taking longer than my old Surge. Now I am not as stressed out as to if I bought a lemmon or not.

I would say a new battery 2 hrs but after it's been charged should not take one 30 mins

I would say this depends on what is being used to charge the Blaze. Some laptops have such small current in their usb ports, and barely are able to keep the tracker alive, forget about charging.

Please read the above msg for testing on all types of power sources. On top of that, a device will only pull the current it needs. The device was never meant to pull more than half an amp so a computers usb will charge it just as fast as anything else. A Laptops usb bus usb 1.0 and 2.0 push out max .5 amps and USB3 is right at an amp. This is nothing close to the numbers I saw during my testing in the above post.

Then why does it take 4 tomes longer to charge through my laptop with usb 3 ports, then it does through my phone charger. Real life t3lls me tyat not all usb ports are compliant. My 500mah charger charges faster than the laptop.
Why when the battery is dead for a few hours, does it take 2 hours before the Blaze has enough power to turn on?

Mine takes about 15-20 minutes completely dead as well.

Just depends on the dead voltage of the battery. If its charging as such a slow amperage. and you've let it sit for awhile it will def take longer. 0% on a battery does not mean its completely devoid of energy. Its just the operating voltage of the device is higher than that. For example. any standard smartphone will not turn on until its charged to 3.8-3.9 volts. That's the operating voltage of the device. So 100% would be like 4.3 volts and it would drain down to 3.8 and shut off.
Depending on how long the battery has been dead in the Fitbit, it could also be lower and may take longer time to charge.
I will say from my personal experience with the Blaze, which I have worn every day since I made my original post. That it has never needed longer on a computer to charge vs an outlet. I am an board level repair technician by trade. All of my outlets, be it computer or wall, all have power//ammeters attached to them. MY real life experience does not correlate with yours. So im not sure what to tell ya. I think yours might be tainted by not knowing the variables associated with how this kinda stuff works and what effects what.
In terms of your usb, absolutely it can take longer, Remember if your usb is sharing the same bus line as the port next to it, and you have something else hooked up, then yes, it can absolutely drain the capacity of the other port. Outside of that. Iv never EVER met a usb port that didn't preform to specs. Which again, I deal with every single day in my day job.
