Connecting Blaze to a separate music device?

Hi,

I just got a Blaze to replace my Charge HR but when I am working out, I play music from my iPod Touch rather than from my Galaxy S6 (which is what my Fitbit syncs with).

Is it possible to continue to sync with my S6 but use the music control feature with my iPod?

Hello @daniellegrace,

Welcome to the community!

Yes, you can.  As it happens, your Blaze behaves as two separate bluetooth devices.  The one that syncs as a fitness device and a conventional bluetooth AVRCP device.  To enable this:

  1. On your Blaze, scroll to the 'Settings' section.
  2. Enable bluetooth classic.
  3. On your iPod touch, search for bluetooth devices.  Pair with your Blaze.

Once connected, you should be able to control your music through your Blaze.  That said, I believe that the AVRCP profile is one that normally consumes more power, so you should only enable bluetooth classic mode when you're using it and you may observe a drop in battery life on your Blaze.

I hope this helps.

My only thought is that you may have to disconnect, the Blaze Classic from the phone.
