Constant blinking LED lights...

I just received my new Blaze today.  Prior to this, I've used the Fitbit One.  I wanted the Blaze because it has a few more features not availabe on the Fitbit One.  I wanted to monitor my heart rate while exercising.  I've set up my Blaze and noticed the constant blinking of the green LED lights...this kind of concerns me.  Is this safe?

Hi, @Scarlettann! Yes, the LED system that reads your heart rate is completely safe. LED lights use very low levels of energy. This is what is required to have continuous heart rate monitoring. If you're worried about it, you can turn the heart rate monitor off and just use it while you are exercising. You can do this within the tracker from settings. However, from a health perspective, it's entirely unnecessary.

LEDs only give off visable light, no ultraviolet which is the type that damages.. It actually is safer than the old standard type light bulb
