Contacts on blaze worn out- want to fix.

Has anyone tried melting more cooper to the worn out contacts.   My watch is totally out of warranty.   I like the watch over all, but don’t want to dump it into a landfill.

aside from people saying this is a design flaw, has anyone tried fixing this?

 

are the newer fitbits like this? With thin contacts that make contact with your sweaty salty  skin?
