Controlling music with Blaze

I am a fitness instructor and usually play music in my classes through a little bluetooth receiver.  I connect the bluetooth receiver to the speaker via an aux cord and then connect my phone to it through bluetooth and play music, etc.  My question is, would I be able to control the music with the Blaze and still play it through the little receiver?

(I would like to do this because my phone's headphone jack doesn't always connect securely with aux cords at the fitness studios.)
