Counts off whack in waterfi blaze

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help! I have recently bought a blaze adapted to be waterproof by waterfi! The waterfi info said that my floor count would be inaccurate due to the waterproofing, fine no worries but I'm finding that my calorie count seems to be over the top! I've had a charge hr for years and not gotten the calories burned that the blaze is giving me, for example yesterday I burned 4K cals but I've never done that before and only did 12k steps (the step count is a accurate I think)

i am wondering if floors play into the cal count? As my device counts them

wrong and thinks I've done hundreds of floors, or is it something else? Can I do anything to test this? may need to return, any help would be much appreciated

Floors don’t play a part in calorie burn so it won’t be that. Beyond that there’s not a lot I can suggest since I don’t know what sort of mucking about the waterproofing involves. You’re probably best off talking to waterfi since they’ll have a better understanding of the impact of their work.

Why get a third party waterproofed Blaze for more than the waterproof Ionic costs? I'd return it if possible. Sounds mucked up anyway.
