Cycling query

Hi all...apologies for the multiple question post but as I think about one query it leads to another...

I currently have a Charge HR which is crap at logging cycling (I ride for an hour, Strava on my phone tells me I've done 15 km, Fitbit Dashboard says 2km).  Is the Blaze better at logging cycling?

I see it uses "connected GPS" which I assume means "the same mode of GPS that Charge HR uses" so I'm nervous to spend $350 on a Blaze if it isn't going to be any better at logging cycling.

I would normally have my phone attached to my bike when riding so would hope that the Blaze + phone combination would give me more accurate distance as well as an accurate map (so I can get all my data from one app rather than needing to use Strava and Fitbit)...is this likely?

In Australia Strava does not connect to Fitbit, seems to be Garmin only...I'm not having a lot of luck getting my cycling data recognised in Fitbit land so far.  Am even considering if I should buy a Garmin instead of a Blaze (but I have no idea where to start there!).

I see some have suggested using MobileTrack as a way of logging a map, would this work while I still have my Charge HR? I don't want to "double count" steps/activity if I have my Charge HR on my wrist and my phone in my pocket.  Do I remove MobileTrack from my account unless Fitbit-free for an activity, perhaps.

Thanks for your help!

A warm welcome to the Community @CarlaCarla. For me, the best way to track your cycling information is using the SmartTrack feature which the Charge HR also have. Have you tried this feature? If you haven't, please do. Other way to track your cycling with a Blaze is by selecting this exercise directly from your tracker which will connect to your phone's GPS and track this exercise with a map. You can learn more about the Blaze by clicking here to have the manual.

Catch you later. Woman Happy

@CarlaCarla your Charge HR doesn't have access to any GPS while the Blaze does., so no they are not the same when it comes to GPS.

Have you thought about linking your Fitbit and Strava accounts?

If you do, then any Strava recorded events will get synced to your Fitbit account.
