Hey guys! If I turn my Blaze completely off before a new day starts (so it is not measuring anything for the entire span of 24 hours), will it factor a "zero" into my daily average? If so, why are there people who haven't worn theirs in months or for even a few weeks who have normal averages?
Like if you have a surgery or will be swimming and you know you can't wear your tracker. Must those days count against you?
Thanks!

@D4NIELThanks for the quick response..
The average you see is the most current 7 completed days average rounded....not including today
If you look at the PC Dashboard for steps the average there is the last 6 full days plus today and if you move that view back one day you will see how the calculation is derived.
If you look at the Friends steps totals they are 6 days plus today. The oldest 7th day drops off at midnight.
You post is common on the forums because of the lack of clarity by Fitbit.

Thank you for your detailed response and warm welcome! I've attached a picture of the average I am specifically referring to. If I understand your post correctly, the average will continue indefinitely. I just can't seem to find any information on how it is calculated, the time span that is factored, etc. And, of course, whether or not a day with the tracker off will affect it.Thanks again for your time!

@D4NIELWelcome.... Turning off the tracker will only affect the actual steps, HR etc. Your BMR calories are controlled from the Fitbit.com website so that will always be updating. The averages are still active as shown in this image which is one of my trackers which hasn't been used for a few days. The calories just shows my BMR including the portion for today.

@Colinm39, thanks so much, that answers it! I did try to research on the forums first, but didn't see any answers as clear as the one you gave me. Thanks for your help!
