I’m wondering if the Fitbit blaze actually tracked an exercise with gps or it all it really did was just open up the mobile run from the app
i have an iPhone but imagine it be the same for an android

@thenameless1 If you started/stopped the exercise with the exercise app on the Blaze, then you used the Exercise App and not MobileRun. MobileRun must be started/stopped on the phone app. For want of a better term, they are two different software "packages". The Exercise App does not turn on MobileRun.
Both are using the GPS sensors in your phone. But they are two different ways of acting on the same data. Also, MobileRun cannot record your heart rate.

Now when starting the exercise on the blaze it would still generate the map like in Mobile Run, despite it not being started from the phone and that's kind of where the concern comes in
I'm only asking because in some cases doesn't fitbit merge the data when multiple trackers are used? Maybe a better way to phrase it is does the app think i'm using two trackers when I'm using the exercise app?

@thenameless1 When you start an exercise on the Exercise app, it takes a little bit of time for your Blaze to connect to your phone to use the phone's GPS sensors. Please trust me when I say that your Blaze does not activate MobileRun.
I did a little experiment. It's what I do. I started a GPS connected walk on my Versa 2 and started a run using MobileRun on my phone. The start/stop times for both were slightly different. I got two records in my exercise details, a run and a walk.
You mention multiple trackers. When you use your phone to be your step counter, you are using a feature called MobileTrack, which is different from MobileRun.
