As it should; just because you didn't wear your Fitbit to bed doesn't mean you weren't still burning calories keeping your body alive.

Of course of you did not wake up alive this morning than you would have a reason to say the calories burnt are wrong.

I know I've read that a few times but it was off and not on me and it also said I was walking in my sleep

If it had been on your wrist it probably would have logged more calories.  The thing is, every night at midnight the Fitbit systems start a log of burned calories based upon the minimum calculated to keep your body operational.  Long story short, it sounds like your Fitbit is working correctly.

@SunsetRunner

Steps while sleeping is wrong, your Blaze shouldn't do that unless its on a vibrating table. I've seen some posts on this forum that Blaze can be overly sensitive, and steps have been counted while not wearing, but as far as I'm concerned your Blaze isn't working correctly if it was sitting on a nightstand. Have you called customer support?

Fitbit uses standard estimates to calculate the number of calories you burn just being alive ("BMR"). What is your BMR? Use this calculator:

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmr-calculator

My BMR is 1843 calories per day, or 77 calories per hour. Fitbit will show 77 calories per hour, even if I'm not wearing a tracker.

Using that 77 calories per hour, divide 700 calorie burn by 77 to calculate the number of hours required to burn it - 9 hours (700 / 77). Therefore I burn 700 calories for every 9 hours of sleep (or at rest).

How long did you sleep?

And thanks for taking the time to write that instead of posting a link on how the fitbit works.
