sometime my blaze and the dashboard activity monitor don't match. when i complete the hourly activity goal very close to the end of the hour ,the tracker records it but the dash board doesn't. If I manually sync the blaze after i complete the hour goal the dashboard will register it. If blaze syncs later it will miss it .

My app (android user) doesn't sync my 250 steps per hour dot more often now that there was forced location update, which by the way I'm highly upset about not having the option to keep location services off. My Blaze and my phone discharges power quicker when it is constantly tracking and trying to sync.

@MsGo I'm not sure why your phone is loosing power, background sync only tries to connect once an hour.
As for the phone tracking, this is normally done by the tracker, not the phone. Unless you have mobile tract enabled.
As for the active hour inconsistencies please see my post above

Happy to hear Fitbit is working on this problem. It happened to me again today. My fitbit shows I got all 11/11 but my phone and the dashboard show 10/11 Hope it gets fixed real soon.
Thanks,

So apparently the bug is not fixed, even with the latest release that indicated "bug fixes" that came out 3/7/17. I was hoping it was resolved as it had not happened to me since that day, prior to me installing the upgrade. But, it happened again today. I went on my long run for the week and crushed all the daily goals, including getting the 9/9 hours, but it missed logging an hour when I synced. So frustrating!

Mine is doing this almost daily now. It makes me look like a real sloth and I hate it, the step count accuracy has really slipped in the past few months. Compared with the OH's Garmin the Blaze is starting to look a bit rubbish.

I just chatted with tech support again today. It was a little hard for me to understand everything the rep was trying to convey, but it sounded like he indicated that the upgrades that were released on March 7 were supposed to address this issue. I informed him that it definitely has not as I had the issue occur again yesterday. Again, if anyone wants to contact them about this, you should be able to reference my case #17472300. He said he was passing my notes on to their tech team.

Mine just did it again today. The Blaze just buzzed me with the "YAY" that I got all eight hours (I have it set for 9-5) in but the app is saying I missed the 4PM hour.

Mine is still doing it also.

And as stated, the developers are looking into this. It would be so much easier if it affected everyone everyday but it doesn't.
Why has it only affected me twice in the last 2 months?, while others it doesn't affect at all, then some say it is everyday? Everyone is running the same software?

Mine does this daily also is not tracking my sleep correctly!

One of the hours on the (Android) app is not being shown as having completed more than 250 steps, even though on the Blaze itself, it indicates that I did get all the steps needed for each of the hours so far today.
As tracked on Blaze
Missing hour in app
The firmware version on the Blaze is 17.8.301.8, and the software version of the Fitbit Android app on my phone is 2.44.1, which, as far as I know, are the most recent versions available.
I've forced-restarted the Fitbit app on my phone, rebooted the phone, as well as rebooted my Fitbit. The hourly activity disparity still exists, while everything else has synced properly.
Is there any way to make sure the app (and website) properly logs the activity, and mark them correctly?
Thanks,
Glenn

@Glenn this is a known problem that affects some of the people some days while it affects others not at all.
The Fitbit developers are aware of it and looking into what the cause is

Happened again Tuesday! I got all 9 out of 9 hours again as it showed in my tracker, but when I synced for the last time, the 4 o'clock hour didn't get recorded! I'm really hoping they get this fixed or I'm going to think about returning my device under warranty.

I'm pretty sure when it happened again Tuesday (3/14), that I logged my last 250th step out of 250 during the 4 pm hour when it was 4:59 on my clock, because I remember noticing it was about 4:57 pm and I still had maybe under 100 steps to go so I quickly got up and started walking around, and I looked at my tracker and saw the steps get to 250, saw the little icon with the guy and the confirmation that I got 250 out of 250 for the hour, and by then it was 4:59 pm, so I barely made it, but that shouldn't matter - I watched the count hit the goal, and the tracker obviously recognized this as well. I know that this ongoing bug has occurred other times when I hit the goal at :59 after the hour but I'm not certain that's the only time. It is possible they have a flaw in their algorithm, maybe some sort of "off by one" error or something to that effect. I did pass this info on to their IT team a while ago.

It doesn't matter when during the hour I log the steps on the watch it seems to miss at least an hour a day on the app. I know I'm getting the steps in as I am very active and I've usually done the 250 steps by half past. There are now a few topics about the app not recording the active hours so maybe the problem is more widespread than Fitbit care to acknowledge.

Yep, happened again to me today (3/15). It's pretty much a daily thing for me too, now.

A thought just occurred to me. (I'm a QA software tester at my job, so these types of bugs "bug" me in more ways than just an end user). I kind of had this thought that maybe it's my Windows app that isn't recording the data correctly. I wasn't paying real close attention, but after several times of this happening, it seemed that it was mostly (if not always) occurring on my Windows 10 app when I would sync to that. I have Windows 10 on my desktop PC in my office so whenever I sit down it usually syncs automatically. The other place I normally sync is with my iPhone. It didn't seem to occur with my iPhone. So today, I figured I'd conduct a test. I didn't open my Windows app at all today, and only synced with my iPhone. Today was the first day out of the past few where the bug didn't occur. I got all 9/9 hours to sync correctly. I'll keep trying this, but I'm wondering if you all could list the app you're mostly using when the problem occurs. If it's across the board, then my theory is probably incorrect.

hahah... QA testing FTW! (I also do the same for work. lol)
I thought about what you mentioned as well. though I seem to recall reading somewhere that if you have Bluetooth enabled on your phone with all day sync turned on that the desktop sync may or may not work correctly. I feel like that's true at work. I have a dongle plugged into my iMac but usually have Bluetooth running on my phone as well (an Android device). It seems like it mostly only syncs through the phone and not so much the desktop app. But you may be on to something because maybe it's catching a sync on the Mac desktop app more than I realize!
Maybe I should try disabling the Bluetooth all day sync one of these days at work and see what happens. Might be an interesting test. (Assuming I remember to do it! lol)
