Had my charge for less than a year (stopped charging); thought it was a fluke. Got the Blaze in Feb 2017 and just a little OVER a year (April 2018) and same issue- doesn’t hold a charge. Customerservice told me that because it’s over a year old it is not covered under warranty. I believe this speaks to the quality of the product…That’s disappointing.

Yes, I'll think of saving up for a Apple Watch when my blaze dies, unless fitbit comes out with something amazing. If the battery is your only issue, here are some links to a discussion about replacements:

A replacement will require some soldering, which you could do your self or pay someone to do it, but it's still way cheaper than buying a new or alternative one. I haven't had an issue with mine, it's dropped some charge in a year but still lasts 4+ days, so I don't have to worry about mine. Hope this helps!
