Does  anyone know why my Fitbit isn't properly tracking my distance? I did 1.5 miles and it said I only did 0.19 miles. I called customer service and all they could tell me was that it's because it was a machine and not outside. Does this mean my calories burned are off as well?

Hi, @Cbowman2010, if you are using GPS to track your distance when you are inside then it is never going to work...

If you are not using GPS, then the way your Blaze computes distance is by multiplying the number of steps by your stride length.  If your distance is way out, then either the step count is wrong or the stride length is wrong.  Here is some information about how to calculate and set your stride length.

Your Blaze will calculate your calories based on the information in your profile (age, gender, height, weight) and your heart rate as well as the steps/ activity it detects.  If these are reasonably accurate, then your calorie burn should be too.  Distance is not a factor.
