Distance when cycling

I have a charge 3, and I've noticed that when I manually set it to track my cycling, it records my "steps" but doesn't apply the distance to my total distance traveled. Is this going to be fixed anytime soon? I'm getting murdered on the challenges because of this.

Hello @stephstan87 and welcome to the Help forums.  The total distance travelled has always been for step based activities like walking, running, and so on.  It won't be changed.  Fitbit added a new shortcut to the Charge 4 called Outdoor Workout.  It is designed for things like skiing, kayaking, and paddle boarding.  Outdoor Workout distance doesn't get added to daily distance, either.

I don't ride my bike when doing step challenges.

Cycling is not step based. Any steps you get cycling are un earned, usually from the tracker detecting bumps as steps. Same can happen while driving.
