Do I need to switch Bluetooth on for the entire day?

Hi guys!

I love my Fitbit Blaze! I bought it so I can finally reach my goal weight this year.

In order for my Blaze to sync, does my iPhone need to have Bluetooth switched to On all day? Doesn't that drain the battery on the iPhone? Is there any adivce you can share?

Thanks

Great to see you in the Fitbit Community @handsomedevil21! 😄

You don't really need to sync your tracker every hour or even every single day so you can turn off your bluetooth and only turn it on when you need to sync your tracker.

A daily sync is recommended but not required. Most Fitbit trackers record detailed minute-by-minute data for seven days, so if you're able to sync weekly you'll find all your data on your Fitbit dashboard. After seven days, Fitbit trackers can store daily totals for up to 30 days. However, having the bluetooth On on your phone will drain the battery faster but it shouldn't be that dramatic.

Hope this answers your question and anything else you may need, we're here to help!

@handsomedevil21 tye answer is no and no.

Bluetooth is needed to sync, if uou have all day sync turned on, then you need to have Bluetooth on all day.

If you just want to sync when you want to, then the Bluetooth may be turned off.

Not with Bluetooth off, notifacations, music control, and connected GPS will not work.

As for leaving bluetooh on, it is low energy and has a minimal affect on the battery.

The  decision is yours to decide.

As for the tracker battery life, it wont matter much.
