My list of 5 recent activities does not include one activity that I have been doing quite often. My solution is to search for the activity on the "Choose an Activity" screen in the Fitbit app, and then I select the activity. I have to do this every time. I don't understand why this specific activity is not showing up in the list of 5 recent activities. It would be much quicker if this repetitive activity was shown on the list.

The only ones you can add are in the list.
You can add Workout mode. This is used to capture what is not listed. Once it syncs you can rename it to what you want. Depending on what activity it is you might need to set up a custom activity which you can find at the bottom of the activity tracker

Thanks for your response. I tried to follow your answer but did not know where to start. I am using the Fitbit app. When I play paddle tennis, I record the activity, and the entry in the app shows up (time, calories, etc) but is not categorized. When I select "Categorize Exercise", there is a list of 5 activities that shows up under the "Recent" heading. This is the part I don't understand, because the "recent activities" shown on the app isn't what I have been doing. Is there a way to change the 5 "recent activities"? Even though I have played paddle tennis 35-40 times in the last 2 months, this activity isn't a "recent activity" and I have to manually select it every time.

Hi @TennisDad are you wanting to modify the list of activities on your blaze?
Or are you asking about the recent list of activities in the Fitbit app on your phone when manually adding a past event.
If the list is in the Fitbit app then please include the phone type.

I think I know what he's getting at, because I want the same thing. On the fitbit app, when you manually log an exercise there is a list of Recent activities. For example I have been weight training and manually logging it for 3 weeks, yet the list does not include this activity. Is there a way to refresh that list to reflect this so I don't have to search for the activity everytime?

I think I'm having the same issue as @TennisDad and @kunan. The list of recent activities in the Fitbit app when trying to categorize a past exercise does not actually reflect some of the most recent activities I have been logging. I have an iPhone XR and would love a solution to this issue. Is there maybe such a thing as resetting the list of recent activities?

It’s just wrong to have a recents list that isn’t that user’s recent exercise types. The “recent” should be changed to “popular” or the list should actually be that user’s recent. That is the preferred solution. Or let us edit the list and call it “favorites” and use that list on out charge 5 devices too. For me, the one I have to search for every single time is “sailing”.

Did anyone ever get an answer. My recent list reflects what I did years ago and still never updates

Many Fitbit users have replied to this message but Fitbit has never posted
a single message.

4 other users since 11-04-2020 is "many"? This is a community forum. Two Community Council members tried to help. Have you tried chat support? Or maybe even post in the app section rather than the old discontinued Blaze section?

Give me a break. There's been nothing useful from the community forum, ie,
Fitbit technical support, but there have been many other Fitbit users that
expressed frustration with the same issue. What is the point of your
message? Is it to tell me that Fitbit users should be satisfied with
non-existent service? Whatever happened to "the customer is always
right"? The customer is the one that decides if a new Fitbit product is
going to be supported like the old product.

The point is, this is a community forum. If you want technical support, contact them? Also a point is you're posting in probably the deadest section on the entire forum. Blaze. While your concern seems more app related?

I don’t know, @TommyIzzo @I have the same issue, and this thread is the top hit when searching for the issue on Google. To be honest, I don’t want to have to know the intricacies of yet another forum (I.e I just saw the heading and couldn’t really be bothered about what forum it was posted in). I scrolled through all the comments and responses and found nothing useful.
I fear the world is more governed by Google’s algorithm than community protocols.
@TennisDadI share your problem and the same concerns.

Any solution to this issue. I have been trying to resolve it for years too. My recent activities are not my recent activities, and the manual method are steps we should not have to take. Ugh!

Ditto. So frustrating dealing with Fitbit support on this issue. They just don't seem to get it. Just got off the phone with them and when I mentioned the numerous complaints on this issue they said they searched and don't see any complaints.
