Enable notification on Blaze keeps turning itself off on my Samsung s5 mini

I've only had the blaze for a week and it's driving me nuts with the enable Notification on the App etc.

I have installed and synced it correctly wth my Samsung s5 Mini and yet the 'Enable Notification' keeps turning off and I have to re enable to get my texts for it to only turn itself off minutes later....grrrrrr.

I have re synced, forced quit App, turned blaze on/off etc and it still does it.....My samsung is running Lollipop.

So please...Anyone know what the hell is going on? I do have my car bluetooth paired also, but this is happening in my house and the phone is not paired then. There are no other devices to interfere with the blaze either.

Hi there @Mountainfun. Welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂

I may suggest setting up your tracker as a new device. For that, it would be worth restarting your tracker by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds and then go on your app and tap at the top left corner. Go to the Devices section and here choose the option that says "Set up a new device"

Follow the on-screen instructions and once the process is completed make sure to turn the notifications on and see how it goes.

Let me know if this makes any difference.

Hi, Did the full new device etc, Unfortunately the 'enable notification' just turns itself off again in the app and I have to re set it again.

Back to square one, I'm now wondering if it's the blaze and ask for a replacement unless you have another suggestion.

Thanks

Thanks for getting back @Mountainfun!

I don't reallly think it's your Blaze since this is a setting you control from the app itself. I can also suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app and see if this does the trick. To avoid losing any information, make sure you sync your tracker before uninstalling the app and after that, delete it and download it again, log in with your credentials and see if this makes any difference.

Let me know how it goes!

You could check your Blaze. Swipe down on the clock to go to the music screen, this is where notifacation control on the Blaze is.

It's still turning itself off...I noticed this morning that in my Bluetooth setting it shows paired not connected, as soon as I connect it again it all works.

I can't work out if it's the Bluetooth connection dropping out and this will close the enable notifications tab????
