Faces suggestions, ideas and inspiration

Hello everyone!

Got my Blaze yesterday and pretty satisfied so far! I really miss the idle reminder, it would litteraly increase my life expectancy since I sit all day when I work and often forget to get up.

And also there need to be a LOT more faces to choose between! If you are going for the smartwatch market people should be comfortable with the looks of what they wear and what information they think is important. Someone had a great idea of "building blocks" and create fully customizable faces, even if this is a great idea I can understand that it would be hard from a developers perspective.

Anway, I thought we could help the designers on fitbit by posting the faces of our dream, I begin by a face I call "sportify" which is inspired from the pop-face which I kon of like, but I miss information about heartbeat and the date. Also I would like to see the whole digits.Sportify is available in light and dark theme. Hope u like it (and that it will be implemented without me hacking the device 🙂 )

I do like that.....To me, Flare is cool, and Zone is neat, but I want the steps visible with a lift of the arm, so I stay with the original.  The Pop is a close second since I can do it with just a tap, but what you have shown is a great idea, nice work!

I am assuming the yellow bar is calorie tracking, if that were customizable to stairs instead I would be even more thrilled, or active minutes.  Calories is one thing that I could care less about since it is just a calculation from your steps.

Thank you! Yes it would be great to be able to choose what bars to display. However, I think that calories is not only calculated from steps but also from logged exercises, stairs climbed etc.

Yeah, I know it is a little more that just steps, but it is still a calculation and estimation so I don't worry about it, it is what it is and it is not a goal that I reach for......but those bars on the bottom are a fantastic idea and it is a nice display you laid out!

Thank you! Here is a  version with more data available. I don't think its necessary to back up the graphic elements with pictures. When you've learned that e.g. green represents the active minutes goal you wont forget it. Personally I would like as much data as possible.

I like this one best, you need to work on their design team 🙂  I like the one with the pie/circles as well, but I would want them all to be customizable/removable.  Great work thought!

Haha, thank you. Actually I'm not a designer but a developer, but it would have been great if there was a way to contribute. These are of course only ideas and would require a designer to finish them off, but I like the idea to be able to see the information I want in a clean way. I also understand that there are limitations to what you can implement.

But I think it is really important for Fitbit not to underestimate the esthetics and the ability to personalize their devices if they want to be a big player in the long run. I don't think they only can rely on providing the best fitness platform.

For me, I chose the blaze before the Apple Watch because of price and battery life. I also think it looks good enough to wear 24/7 (except that it should be waterproof and indestructible) and that is really the key to get good data from a device.

So keep up the good work Fitbit, and show us that you are different from Apple and actually listen to your users!

I would love a way of quickly adding water tracking to the watch... Just even "quick adds" like 8, 16, or 24 oz

@ajea I like this face  A LOT  Have you added this info the the Watch Face Feature Request?

If not I would recommend doing so or opening a Feature Request of your own where it can receive votes from the community.

These look great, have you posted it here? just thinking that a thread directly aimed at the developers may get more attention
