Yesterday I stayed home almost all day and didn't go on a walk. When I woke up my Blaze already clocked over 400 steps before I got out of bed. I got another couple hundred getting dressed for the day. I walked to the garage to work on some things but didn't go on a walk. My heart rate is naturally high because of afib so it tells me I am burning fat when I am not. By the end of the day I had over 3000 steps and almost 4000 calories burned. I could understand a few missteps but if its thousands off, how do I use it for to keep track of anything? Today i woke up with 200 steps, a little better. I noticed I got about 20 steps just sitting here putting lotion on my face. I've also already burned 1900 calories just getting dressed and driving to work. Very frustrated.

Hello @Farhanakhan, as for calories Fitbit it uses your bmr and your heart rate to calculate these. Note your body will burn calories to keep it functioning whole you lay in bed.
As for the steps, Fitbit does have a pretty good algorithm to filter out arm motions but it isn't per return, and a repetitive motion may give a few false steps. On the other end you will find periods during the day when the feet are walking but the arms are not moving correctly to have steps credited.
Settings your arm settings will help minimize false steps.

The steps weren't a few off, they were off by thousands. Not sure how I am supposed to know that I have walked 10k steps with 2 or 3 or 4k might be false. Also the calorie burn is way off. It thinks im training all day apparently.
