False milage on bike mode with my Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday I was out biking, a distance at 9.5 kilometer. Now I used my blaze to measure the distance and time and all that, sat it in bike mode and connected with my cellphone wich is a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus.

Now quite early while being on my way biking, I notice that it showed me that I had a average speed of 35 kilometer an hour.... and top at over 70 km/h ... now I know I did not bike THAT fast.
Also I knew I had a speed at around 15 km an hour as average.

Also it showed wrong distance, when I was done it showed that I had biked over 22 kilometer, when the distance is less than 10 ...

What am I doing wrong here ? or is this something Fitbit need to patch up abit...

I am having the exact same problem.

Blaze and Samsung S6, Endomundo tracks 8 km, while fitbit tracks around 14 km.

And the Blaze is showing 30km speeds when traveling at 15km.

Bike is the only exercise i have tried so far, but some running tests are planned.

Dont think we are doing anything wrong, atleast the HR and route is correct

Thanks for the reply,

In my case the S6 signal is 100% endomundo has no problems tracking.

Next time I will track using Blaze only see if there is some multiple app issue going on.

It seems to me like the speed calculations are wrong

Did a trip 2 days ago, on both the fitbit app and endomondo app they traced the route correctly but while the endomondo showed that I had biked 9 kilometer, the Fitbit app showed me that I had biked 20 kilometer, also the average speed was way off... because I knew I had not been past 15 kilometer pr hour, and it showed an average at around 30 ...

I tried a trip using only the Blaze, no other tracking app active, I got the exact same wrong results.

Hopefully the latest android update will solve this issue, will find out tomorrow.

I accidently hit run on my last bike ride, and it tracked my 8km route as 0.91km.

and also the calorie calculations seem off by atleast 100-150 cals on those exercises.

Still the same,

Obviously Fitbit does not use the location to track distance. Only the route is shown correctly.

Still getting around 13km on my 8km daily route using Blaze.

And the calorie calculations are still off.

I got my daily 8km route down to 11km from 13km by cycling faster!!!

🙂

Ha ha ... yeah that might be the solution, I need to bike faster, when my fitbit tells me that I should be biking at 70 kilometer pr hour, then I might have to do that instead of lurking at 15 km/h
