Faulty Blaze or feature? Screen does not turn on on notifications and alarm

As title says. The screen does not turn on when notifications or alarm is going off. This is a deal breaker for me since I'm unable to snooze (I accidentally turned of the alarm with some button in panic to stop it) and often the quick look does not work and I often need to tap 7-8 times to wake the display. This lead to me hanging up an important call yesterday. Everything would be solved if the display just came on. (Except the faulty quick look/display turn on, but I can live with that)

I agree sometimes the quick display works and sometimes its usually. Also I just had to tap on my screen four times to wake up the display. The first tap should wake it up. Defintely needs a software upgrade

This just started to happen for me in the last week. My blaze display would turn on when I receive any notification or when an alarm went off. Now it's not waking up unless I tap it. So, I assume it's a bug happening.

The Blaze is designed to vibrate your arm when a call or other notifacations comes, then with a lift of the arm Quick View turns on the screen. A double tap will also work. This is so it will saved battery life, why turn the display on unless you want to read the watch?

Sometimes the quick look is buggy and even if when it works I think the screen turns off too quickly for m me to read the phone number or wake up enough to understand what button I'm supposed to press in the morning.

As for battery life, For me it's an easy choice to sacrifice battery life if I could choose these screen settings

1. Auto on on notifications and alarms. The screen should stay on until call is answered or rejected or the alarm is turned off.

2. Keep screen on during workouts.

3. At least a simple feature to choose for how long the screen should be turned on when using quick look/double tap

Why keep the screen on during workouts? You only need it on when you actually look at it and when you raise your wrist it turns on.

Quick look keeps the screen on for however long you raise your wrist. When you lower your wrist it turns off.

Not so at least for me.  Even holding your arm still in the view position, the display turns off.  You CAN keep it on by continuing to touch the screen.

Agreed, Quick View displays data for 5 seconds or so, no longer.

Yeah, but Quick View isn't working at all when the notifcation or alarm happens. I move my arm around trying to get it to come on, and it won't. I don't want to double tap my screen (which I have found that to be somewhat unresponsive as well. It takes like 5 taps for the screen to activiate) to have to view whatever notification is appearing. I want it automatically turn on my screen...like it did when I first got my Blaze.

Totally agree. Screen has to turn on automatically when there is any kind of important notification that requires attention or most importantly an action such as stopping an alarm or buzzing etc...

I disagree, the screen only needs to tuen on when the user wants to look at the Blaze.

When the alarm goes off, i don'tneed to look at the Blaze, it can't provide any more info then i allready know? If the calander goes off, and the display lights up, if im not ready to look at the display, i will miss the notifacation,  by not turning on the message is delayed until i want to see it.

As for texts, at work i cant use the phone, so no, i dont want my arm lighting  up. Later on if i can sneak a peek, ill read tye message.

Thanks for your comment. I see your point of view and it makes sense. I'm ok to live with this inconvenience of tapping the screen to stop the alarm in that case.
