How to find my fitbit model. Nothing marked on the fitbit i.e. no marking, nothing

Hi @beatsal if you try setting it up, the Fitbit app will recognize which device you have. You can click "Help" upper right of this page and see all the various styles of devices. You don't remember which Fitbit you had? Sometimes if these have had dead batteries for a while, they don't always spring back to life easily.

Thanks. Battery is fine, I charged it with the device and green lights blink. I am a newbie - where to get the fitbit app you refer to

Thanks. I clicked on your email to see how - it told me to connect to a charger and to a computer which I did, then nothing. I attach a pic of my fitbit connected to a computer.

If the watch is working and when you swipe left you can find Settings, click on it, scroll to About, or System info and About and look for version.

 

Check the version with the various watch types here

 

The first 2 digits will give you the model.

OK, try this instead

 

In the phone Fitbit App on your phone

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Firmware Version at the top

 

Check the version with the various watch types here

 

The first 2 digits will give you the model.

You can also check the version on the Watch

On the watch

Swipe left

Settings

Scroll to the bottom

Click About

Version near the top

 

Check the version with the various watch types here

@beatsal   Here is an easy way to tell the models apart.

  • The original Versa has three real buttons on it and definitely says "fitbit" at the bottom of the screen in Fitbit's script
  • The Versa Lite has one real button and has the "fitbit" in script
  • The Versa 2 has one real button on it and doesn't say "fitbit" on the screen
  • The Versa 3 doesn't have a "real" button that sticks out

Something isn't right.

 

What is the state of the watch?

Is it working and counting steps etc?

If so, how is it not possible to go to settings?

 

If its not setup yet, then use a phone to set it up. Follow the installation instructions.

 

Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you, via chat or phone.

Thanks. Tried chat, not able to help. Can't do with phone as I have A6.01, need 7. Hence tried with laptop - no luck even after contacting support, so am stuck

Hi @beatsal at what step of the setup process does the failure occurs? And do you get any error messages?

I am doing setup on my laptop with windows 10 VS 1909 as I don't have Android 7. When I go to the dashboard, on the top 5 t tabs, next to notifications there is an icon of a person. When I click on that, it should ask me for my info but does not so can't go any further.
