FitBit Blaze Giving Floors that you haven't acquired?

Has anyone been having issues with their FitBit Blaze giving them "Floors" that they haven't acquired? I can go all day without having used a single floor/hill/ or staircase, and can sometimes end up with 10, 15  40 floors!!? Just wondering why this is happening. If anyone else has issues with this, and why its happening. And if it can be stopped? lol

@ZumbaChick that's a very good question and I'll be happy to help here! Cat Embarassed Cat Tongue Please note that your Blaze calculates floors using an altimeter, which is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Subsequently, atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing elevation, so the tracker calculates elevation gain based on the reduction in atmospheric pressure. Your Blaze then registers a floor when it detects continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of 7 to 10 feet. Maybe you are going up stairs without even noticing! Cat Happy

However, if that's not the case here, then please take into account that your Blaze may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Occasionally your tracker may detect pressure changes unrelated to elevation gains, such as a gust of wind, weather change, or opening a door.

Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors being counted and this happens if the pathway to the altimeter on the back of your Blaze becomes temporarily blocked with sweat or water. I recommend thoroughly drying your tracker after every workout session!

You can definitely get rid of those extra floors from your account. For more info on ho wto do it, please visit the article,  If you want to remove floors from your account, go to: How do I delete data?

On a different note, you might have noticed that I moved your post to the Blaze board as this was originally posted in the Challenges & adventures board. In the right board, your post has a higher chance to be read & answered by a community user in a more timely manner. It also helps us to keep the community tidy and organized.

Thank you so very much for your response!.. At least now, I may have some
type of resolution as to what might be going on. Which is better than not
having any idea why. Thanks again!
