I have read through numerous topics regarding this issue, but I have not read one that answers how to update my Blaze through my computer. From what I understand, I have to update my firmware through the app on my phone, however, I cannot sync to my app to update because my firmware is not up-to-date and is not the latest update which fixes this bug. Not sure what I am supposed to do, but any advice on how to solve this issue would be appreciated.

With.the Win10 app it is possible to use the charging cable to update through. Simply attach the charger to the computer and insert the blaze.. Now open the app.

Without knowing much about what phone or compiyer, makes it a little hard to help you?
Are you able to sync through your computer?
So let's go to the Fitbit help site and this article, the help link may be found below as help and under help in the app.

I think the TO has an iPhone with iOS 10.2 that causes the problems with sync. The latest firmware should avoid that, but while his Blaze has the old firmware he isn't able to synv and update.

Exactly, that is the problem I am having. I have the latest iOS update (10.2), which is causing the sync issue, but since I have the sync issue, I cannot connect to the app to update the firmware to correct the sync issue. If I can update the firmware through my computer, I have not been able to figure out how. I have an ASUS V500C running Windows 10 and IE 11. My phone is an iPhone 7 with iOS 10.2. I appreciate your responses and any further help is appreciate. Thanks.

Does your computer have Bluetooth? Then you need the app for Windows PC to do the update

Unsure what exact steps allowed me to update because I have been working on this the last two weeks.
But this morning I deleted the fitbit app, redownloaded the app, restarted my phone, "forgot the device" in my bluetooth settings, and then on my fitbit under settings I changed Bluetooth Classic from Off to Pairing. Paired with my iphone 7 again and reopened the fitbit app.
Something finally gave and it allowed my tracker to sync and update.

My computer does have the bluetooth and I was able to download the Fitbit app from the Microsoft website, which I did not realize there was an app that could be downloaded (I have been using the fitbit.com website). As I synced to the app, I was able to update my Fitbit Blaze, which I was then able to sync to my phone. I appreciate the help. Thanks.
