FitBit Blaze turns off, cannot setup

I just purchased a brand new FitBit Blaze earlier today, and cannot set it up because it turns off constantly for no apparent reason.

I charged it for 30 minutes prior to Setup, and it's acting rather useless. I can push the buttons, it lights up, and I see the "Fitbit.com/setup" prompt, I successfully paired it to my device, but during software download it turned itself off. I've put it on the charger and it came on again, between 30-60 seconds later it turned off.

Hey there @AustinHowell. Welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

I'd just like to know if this behaviour is preventing your tracker to pair completely... What you mention your tracker to be doing seems to be the way it should work (you can learn more about quick view here). That feature is called quick view and this is for the tracker to be in standby mode until you turn your wrist towards you, the screen will come on. Now, if it's not letting you complete the set up process, I'd recommend restarting your tracker by pressing the left button and the lower right one for about 10 seconds and it will turn off and turn back on.

Afte you restart your tracker, try to set it up again and see how it goes.

Let me know if you still need more help with this!

It was strange, I got it to pair and to sync initially, and then the iPad lost the FitBit and the setup failed because it could not update software. I charged it for an hour, restarted the tracker and it still didn't want to pair... I restarted the FitBit APP on the iPad, and THEN it caught the device again. It seems if it looses the device in the middle of the setup, the app doesn't quite proceed properly to reacquire the link. The device is now working properly!

So it seems the FitBit itself was working properly, and the APP is what lost it!
