Hi,
Rode my ATV over pretty rough terrain/big hills for about 2-3 hrs and boy was the FitBit way too generous about steps taken. My wife demands satisfaction 😮
Seriously - other than not wearing my Tracker - is there a way to program around this ?
I suppose I could go to the "walk" exercise class and purposely NOT "Use Phone GPS" and ensure that my stride is correct.
Riding an ATV over trails like I ride requires some exertion on upper body muscles, posting and shifting of body weight, plus your heartrate is naturally at a higher rate. So it actually is a workout. Wondering if it deserves its own category ?
Thoughts?
Thanks

I have the same issue on the motorbike. It once recorded that I had climbed 193 stairs after a 2hr ride.

Hi there guys @bkwilson @BigDaddy68, good to see you in the Community! 🙂
On bumpy trails it's possible that your tracker will register steps but these should be negligible in your overall stats. I would say that if you consider that you want to keep track of this activity, log it as "Motorcycle" from the Track Exercise section for it to count calories burned for example but not steps.
Let me know how it goes!
